Breakfast was a feast fit for a queen, fuelled me for the day of hiking. Loved the beautiful garden and terrace, perfect for some relaxing time. And guess what? They even had a BBQ! Yay, grilled sausages!

Oh, I'm sorry, did you expect me to come up with something negative? Well, I guess I could nitpick and say they should have had a unicorn-drawn carriage to transport me around.

The rooms were tastefully decorated with chocolates on the bedside table. The staff were very helpful. The daily breakfast was delicious and enjoyable with smoked salmon, great coffee, and lovely breads.

The Inn At The Convent is my go-to place in Taumarunui. The staff gave me directions on my first stay. It has everything I need - free Wi-Fi, parking, coffee shop, kettle. Plus, pets are allowed and no smoking! Can't wait to come back for Christmas.

Truly enjoyed the location in a lovely part of town. They gave a queen room with comfortable bed and an upstairs balcony, for instance as we booked.

i spent a brilliant time here, recommend to anyone. i appreciated staying in this exceptionally friendlycharacterful hotel. i had huge, spotless rooms with it's own balcony, coffee and a lounge. excellent location of the property in fact everything was very clean.

The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the room was incredibly spacious with top-notch furnishings. The guest lounge and separate TV room were pure luxury. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with delightful extra touches. The rich history of the building added a special charm. The European-style breakfast was absolutely superb! The host Geoff was a complete legend and made me feel like family. The accommodation itself was a stunning historical gem, with every amenity you could dream of. The cozy wood-burning fire created the perfect ambiance, and the beautiful artwork throughout the house was captivating. Geoff's dedication to cleanliness was astounding, and his delicious breakfasts and attentive service were top-notch. I adored that the accommodation was pet-friendly, and meeting his adorable pets, especially the character Ginge, was a highlight. Staying here was an absolutely delightful experience. Five stars plus!

The communal bathroom is well-maintained and there is never a delay in using it. The hosts are very accommodating and offer tea and coffee making facilities outside the rooms, as well as chilled water in the refrigerator. The breakfast is a feast with a variety of options including bacon, eggs, toast, cereals, yogurt.

We had a truly special stay at The Inn. The beautiful room was gorgeously furnished and the thick sheets and blankets provided a luxurious sleep. The attention to detail was exceptional, from the quality towels and toiletries to the cozy bathrobes. The breakfast was 5-star with an array of delicious options, including homemade grainy bread, salmon, cream cheese, capers, and soft-boiled eggs. The house itself was tastefully decorated with stunning artworks and the hosts were warm and welcoming, making us feel like good friends.

The hosts were extremely friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The property was beautiful and lovingly restored. Generous and enjoyable breakfast with homemade muesli, eggs, fish, and more. Taumarunui is the perfect size for a getaway.

the inn really exceeded our expectations during our family holiday. the warm and welcoming hosts made us feel at home, and the gorgeous room with a four-poster bed and balcony was a delightful surprise. the breakfast was five-star, with a wide variety of delicious options. we'll definitely be back!

The Inn At The Convent provided a charming and cozy stay. The old house decor, although slightly cluttered, added to its character. The resident animals were a delight for pet lovers. The location was excellent, and the breakfast exceeded expectations with homemade muesli and delicious bacon and eggs. The amenities, including heaters, a fireplace, and electric blankets, made the stay comfortable. The common room was a welcome addition for guests. The morning shower lacked hot water, but it was a minor inconvenience. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with top quality linens. The breakfast selection was excellent, with a variety of food options to choose from. The location was convenient for a stop-over during a long journey.

I could hear another guest snoring all night, which was quite disturbing. It would have been helpful to have a bin for used tea bags and a designated spot for dirty cups and teaspoons in the tea and coffee making area.
